MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Lipcreme So Very Good

MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Lipcreme
 So Very Good

Hi everyone, I apologize for not posting in a while. I have been busy working and I had an interview at college for a Makeup Artistry course yesterday. I had to do a project for the interview and it took me a few weeks to finish it as I wanted perfection (as usual..).
Fingers crossed I get into the next practical interview! :)

MAC's So Very Good lipstick is a creamy plummy brown. It has a slight shimmer in it which doesn't show up very much once applied and also has a hint of red. The application was flawless and I only needed one application as it is very pigmented. It lasted for over 7 hours but I then reapplied. After so many hours of wear, I was surprised my lips hadn't bled or dried out, thanks to the formula!

This pairs beautifully with a toned down brown smokey eye.
This is my first pro longwear lipstick from MAC and I have loved it so far. The biggest difference is the shape of the lipstick and tube. It is circular in shape and some may find this challenging to apply if they have thinner lips.

I give this lipstick an overall rating of 9.5/10! It's a tremendous score for a terrific lipstick.
Anyone thinking of buying a pro longwear lipstick should go for it as this has done me proud.

Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick & Lipglass Review

Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick & Lipglass
Review & Pictures!

Finally after a long few weeks I have found the time to do my review...

I have been so busy with a new puppy and getting woken up at ridiculous times, so again, apologies! I hope everyone enjoyed my last review as much as I enjoyed writing it!

First off I'd like to mention that I only tried the Viva Glam Rihanna lipstick (£15 R.R.P) today, but I have loved it so far. It is her second frost finish lipstick from her collaboration with MAC, the first being 'Who's That Chick' (shimmering burnt-orange) from her fall collection. The packaging of this duo is beautiful, it has a slight suedey look to it and feels smooth to the touch. It goes very well with the colours of the lipstick and lipglass.

Although this has been compared to Riri Woo, it is nothing like it! It is a blue-toned red, the finish is much more creamy and the colour is a lot more of a deep red and slightly shimmery. I applied it with no issues and it lasted for around five and a half hours. I did end up with the 'lipstick tashe' and had to reapply it to fill in the lipstick that had faded.
I used a red lip liner to edge it off a bit more but it wasn't a great match so I will add the correct lip pencil soon. I was disappointed with the scent as it smelt like an old MAC lipstick (waxy) rather than the usual chocolate scent we all expect.
But overall I rate this a 9/10.

I have been using the Viva Glam Rihanna Lipglass (£14 R.R.P) for over a week now and I absolutely adore this gloss. The only issue that I have with MAC's lip glosses is the stickiness! My long hair and the Scottish wind do not like this gloss simply because I find myself constantly pulling my hair from my lips. It lasted for around 4 hours alone.

The application is direct & simple, the colour would compliment any and every skin tone as it is not very opaque and has only slight pinkish-red colouring and gold/pink shimmer.

I have used this over my other red and pink lipsticks and it looks gorgeous over all of them. Even used on it's own will look beautiful. My overall view on this gloss is 9/10, if you own many red or pink lipsticks and enjoy topping them with gloss I would definitely recommend you use this product.

You should go and try these two beautiful additions to MAC's Viva Glam Collection as it may not be a permanent duo. So get them while you can!

I'd also like to thank my sponsor for the Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick! :)

MAC HEROINE LIPSTICK REVIEW

It's first debut in the 'Reel Sexy Collection in 2012' enticed customers, and when re-promoted the following year in the 'Fashion Sets Collection 2013', people all over were heart broken to find out it was not part of the permanent line. Especially those who didn't get a chance to purchase it.
  Now, it's back for good.

Although this is not yet available in the UK, I managed to get my hands on it through my lovely sponsor.

My first impression of this lipstick was a single word, ''Purple''.

I wasn't sure what this would look like once applied as it varies on your skin tone and the pigmentation of your lips. It is dark plum purple in the tube but once swatched or applied to the lips it is almost magenta/fushia. It also looks red-toned under certain lighting which accents this lipstick even more.

Although it is a matte lipstick it glides on easily and feels quite moisturising which is very surprising.

I found no issues with it dragging, skipping or tugging when I applied it, unlike some other mattes and retro mattes. The coverage was full and it lasted for roughly 5 hours. As always it has the classic chocolate scent (not vanilla!), gosh there's nothing better than the smell of a brand new MAC lipstick...

My overall feelings about this lipstick are if you can get your hands on it, even just to try it, you should! This is the lipstick in my collection that really stands out the most, by colour, vibrancy and application.

The rumoured UK release date in store is March 6th 2014. The online launch was due in January but has obviously been a false statement or the date has been changed. The price will remain £15 for this lipstick, I am still waiting to hear if the lipglass will be available too.

I hope this review has been helpful to you all, if you have any questions please feel free to ask!
