MAC Archie’s Girls Magic Spells Pigment Review

MAC Archie’s Girls Magic Spells Pigment Review

I've been wanting to try Mac pigments for a while and haven't really found a colour I liked.
So I was very happy to receive this from my sponsor to try!

I would describe the colour as a matte black with a teal glitter/shimmer.
The pictures really don't do it any justice!

(Swatched once lighty)

I found this super messy to work with, it ended up everywhere!
So I put a piece of paper under it so when I opened it and would take a
little out it didn't go all over the place.

When I applied, I had a primer on to keep it still.
I only needed the smallest amount and it went a long way.
It lasted for a long time but started fading a little after 6 hours.
It went on very easily but I made sure to use a shield when applying to my lid
so it didn't fall on my face.

 (Swatched twice lightly)

The colour is just beautiful and super easy to apply and the
limited edition packaging is so cute too!
You get so much product for your money with these pots, it seems endless!
The only downfall for me is how messy it is and that the blackness fades,
so sadly it's an 8/10 for this!

Mac Osbourne's
Kelly Yum Yum Lipstick
Vs
Candy Yum Yum Lipstick

When I first heard that this collection was going to include Candy Yum Yum and was going to be sold as Kelly Yum Yum it was a pass for me...

That is until I saw swatches of it online of course!
I couldn't deny myself of another bright pink lipstick..
They even picture differently, most people (including myself) thought it was just Candy Yum Yum repackaged, but it's definitely not.

(L-R) Kelly Yum Yum - Candy Yum Yum

While Candy is a matte finish Kelly is a satin but acts like a matte on me!
It applied very easily with no tugging or bother and it seriously lasted like a matte!
I had it on for around 7 hours! Crazy for a satin I know!
Candy is very similar and is also easy to apply and lasts just as long but
honestly Kelly is my preferred pink now!
The colour just suits me more overall for some reason.
It seems like a darker hot pink and less blue tones in it than Candy YY..
and don't get me started on the packaging..!

To the eye the packaging is a slightly shimmery lilac with Kelly's signature in red.
My camera does it no justice!
I love limited edition lipsticks usually just for packaging but this one is something special.
I've heard talk and comparisons with the Dame Edna lipsticks
but they are completely different, the colour for starters!

So as you can see these two lipsticks are not identical and Mac have done very well in selecting a different hot pink shade.
It applied smoothly, lasted ages and the packaging is stunning!
It's absolutely a 10/10 for me!

Mac Heatherette Trio 1

Mac Heatherette Trio 1

This beautiful limited edition palette is by far my favourite out of my collection.
The pink metallic look with the pretty glittery top..
The pictures don't do it justice!

This palette contains 3 eyeshadows ; Hoppin', Mood Ring & Cloudburst.

Hoppin' (left) is a nude peachy colour which I like to use under my brows and in my inner eye corner to highlight. It has a satin like feel when swatched.

Mood Ring is my favourite of the three.
It's a metallic teal with a slight shimmer in it.
It's unlike any of my other eyeshadows and has a creamy texture when I swatch it.

Cloudburst is a velvety black with beautiful green shimmer in it. It blends in beautifully with Mood Ring because of the green glitter.
This is my favourite black eyeshadow as my                                                              other ones seem so plain now!

Although when I first saw the palette,
I thought the colours wouldn't match when applied together, but I was wrong.
This makes for an easy and quick application and is the perfect size to stick in your bag!
This palette screams girly and glittery.
It's perfection! 10/10!

A huge thanks to my lovely sponsor who let me review this stunning palette!

MAC Alluring Aquatic Mystical Lipstick

MAC Alluring Aquatic Mystical Lipstick

While I was away on holiday I missed this collection and even checked the airport but all the lipsticks were sold out! I was lucky enough to get this from my amazing sponsor!

Firstly, the packaging.
It is to die for! I haven't seen anything like it before.
The droplets of water and the metallic blue packaging are stunning in person.

Mystical is a mid-tone plummy rose colour.
It has a slight pink-gold shimmer in it that gives it a beautiful finish.
The application was very easy as it a cremesheen finish and it didn't pull, tug or apply unevenly.

When I apply this it looks like my perfect nude due to my dark pink pigmented natural lip colour.
I reapplied after 5 hours and it had not dried nor hydrated my lips.

I can't fault this at all, I am in love with this lipstick!
It is just amazing overall and I have to rate it a 10/10!

BeneFit Cosmetics The Talent Brush

BeneFit Cosmetics The Talent Brush

In the past year I've been looking for something to do my brows with and haven't had much luck in my search. My sponsor kindly sent me this to try and I love it!
Eyebrow pencils are good but I find they leave you looking like you have caterpillars on your face! The key is really to use a lighter colour on the inside then use a darker colour for the rest of the eyebrow.

I actually prefer to use eyeshadows or powders to do my eyebrows as it doesn't look to dark, full or cakey as the pencils can. I was previously using an angled brush to do them but found it a little awkward!

This brush looks gorgeous and yet is simple. The bristles are soft but just the right amount of sturdy. On the packaging it also states that this brush has many different purposes such as applying eye liner, contouring & shading. No where does it state that it can be used on brows but I think, why not?!

I tried applying eye liner with it and found it awkward and it felt too bulky! It also applied the eye liner too thick and it ended up everywhere! I did not however try to contour or shade with it so I can't say how it does with those. This is now in my makeup bag 24/7! It's my go-to brush for doing my brows and I love it!

I rate this an overall 10/10 for eyebrow use but definitely not for eye liner!

Thank you for reading and please check out my lovely sponsors Ebay page and find yourself some beautiful products at a great price!

Mac Cosmetics Venomous Villains Strange Potion Lipglass

Mac Cosmetics Venomous Villains Strange Potion Lipglass

I had been looking forward to trying this one after reading all of it's great reviews. I'd been searching for the Hot House lipglass from this collection but couldn't find it so I thought I'd give this one a shot.

Right away I noticed the extremely precise packaging compared to my other Mac lipglasses. It comes with not only a box but a Limited Edition sleeve with the Evil Queen on it.Taking it out of the box for the first time I got so excited to try it! It's a beautiful baby pink coral with a slight pink/silver shimmer in it.

The application was easy and it didn't pull or tug and it has a semi opaque coverage. This would suit many skin tones as it is quite a neutral colour. It lasted fairly long for a lipgloss as it is quite a sticky textured one, which works best for me! I had to reapply after 3 hours and it looked just as good reapplied. I have no bad things to say about this one!

Everything has been perfect for me, it's long lasting, has great colour pay off, has that beautiful Mac scent and looks amazing on!
I have to rate this one what it deserves, a full 10/10!

Thank you for reading! If you have any questions please feel free to comment!
A big thanks to my amazing sponsor for sending me this beaut!
